Versions of Atlantis

Here aresome previous sea colony ideas. Atlantis seems to be a popular and obvious name for any such Sea Based community - because of the idea of an undersea city ala Disney and becasue Ayn Rand used it as the name of a community of individualists escaping collectivism in her 1957 novel Atlas Shrugged. Personally I don't like the name because it would be all too poetic if someone built a Sea City called Atlantis, and then the whole thing was "swallowed up" by the ocean.
