This is the only fan letter I ever wrote. I included it along with an order for a T-shirt for a friend of mine who was in the military at the time. I don't think it was ever published, but he got the shirt.

Milk and Cheese Fan Letter
Dear Milk and Cheese,
I just put down your 4th number one issue, and find myself filled with new hope for western civilization. I read issue #1 some time ago and, although I loved it, I resigned myself to the idea that it would be received as strictly a one shot joke comic, without its true artistry or meaning ever being appreciated by the general public. Since my special military unit only allows me out in public shortly after a complete lunar cycle when I have calmed down to the degree that I can pass an exhaustive battery of psychological tests, and even then, I must elude my escorts in order to duck into a comic book store, as they feel such overly imaginative material could re-activate me prematurely; I was surprised to find your comic in its 4th issue.
Could it be that there are others like myself who can read between the lines, perceive the subtext of your work and see beyond the merely lightly maniacal to the truly depraved and hauntingly wonderful hidden meanings therein? What else could account for the continued publication of this book? I will look long and hard to find the other two issues which I have not yet read in order that I may further my education and understanding of "The One True Plan."
Meanwhile, I wait for the time of your call to arms. For the day when those of like minds as our's will arise and march against the horribly innocent, crushing them under our hot, blood stained, bare feet.
I await the Hour of the Carton and the Wedge!!
(Damn... I ran out of blood to write this with and had to switch to ballpoint pen. And this guy looked so big and healthy.)

P.S. Enclosed is a check for the cause, and I ask that you please send me a Milk & Cheese Shirt #1 - that I may wear it as a uniform signifying my beliefs and striking fear into the hearts of all those who may see me.
